Just been going through the log fies.

Found a lot of file.php?gclid=foo

Google says

The parameter used in auto-tagging is called "gclid" and will show up in your landing page URL when a user arrives at your site from your ad. For example, if your site is www.mysite.com, when a user clicks on your ad it will appear in the address bar as:

www.mysite.com/?gclid=123xyz

Thing is, closed the adwords a account couple of months ago!

In the past your visitors bookmarked a page on your site including the parameter?gclid=foo.

If these visitors come back to your site long after you stopped advertising on Adwords using these bookmarks, the?gclid=foo will appear in the querystring of the page.

Yeah thanks, it is the bookmarks. Realised while drifting off to sleep.
None of the hits had any refferer info.

See, Adwords is great :p
