Clearing all cookies did the trick for me. I seemed to be getting time outs on the login page before I tried that.
Thanks for bringing that up, vordmeister - it's a very good point.
It is quite often the case that if one has experienced an issue at one point, and then continues to experience it after it has been reported as 'resolved', that clearing cache and cookies will clear things up.
(Little known tip: I also unplug my computer before re-booting and polish the blades of the plug with very fine steel wool. That always seems to make things work better.) ;)
I will keep my ear to the ground - and consult with the tech folks - to see if I hear of residual login issues still at work.
