This could be specific to my industry, but Adwords is continuing a downword spiral in conversion numbers and Yahoo is steadily rising. I removed the Search Network hoping that had something to do with it but that has not changed. Check this out for yesterday's numbers:

Yahoo............493 clicks..............Conversion Rate 20.3%
Google...........272 clicks..............Conversion Rate 12.2%

Cost per click is well within $0.10 of each other and keywords are exactly the same. Yahoo avg position is a tad higher but not enough to double traffic. These numbers used to be exactly the opposite last year. Does this make any sense to any of you?

Hi,

YMMV.

My AW cost-per-conversion numbers have been broadly falling or steady for many months now.

It may be time to retune your campaign, add new keywords and ads, and kick out any that have gone stale. I find this definitely helps keep my campaign on track. (For example, you may be getting ad blindness.) Also re-check your position preferences, or even switch to budget optimiser for a bit to let it find new price levels.

And any ad groups currently underperforming and that I don't have time (and/or enthusiasm) to deal with at the moment, I pause.

Rgds

I am finding the opposite. Traffic has significantly increased. Conversion is about the same. YSN does comparatively little in comparison. I guess everyones account/sector is different. Think the above is good advice. Perhpas time to have a bit of an overhaul.
