I want to track the keywords used and whether or not people are clicking on the links on my landing pages or just leaving. Is this possible with Google Analytics, and if so, how is it set up?

1) You need to add the analytics code (about 5 lines) to each of your pages - you may be able to do this by including it in a template or existing include file - you may need to add it to each page separately - can be time consuming if you have a lot of pages.

2) Analytics will give you a % Bounce Rate for pages, keywords etc. You may not be able to easily distinguish between a click on an internal link or a click on an Ad, but you should be able to pick out those pages or keywords that result in an immediate "back" or "close".

3) Analytics provides an enormous amount of data that I find fascinating - if it's useful as well, that's a bonus. I believe that all you have to lose is your time setting it up, and your time looking at the data - although some others here have suggested that Google uses the data for more sinister purposes.

Thanks for the info...I have set it up. I can find bounce rates for pages but not for KWs? Can you point me in the right direction?

Sorry - I may have misled you - I can't find KW bounce rates at the momnet - it may be there somewhere, I'm sure I recall seeing it, but I may be mixing it up with page per view
I'll try to find it again when I have more time
