Competitor Playing Real Dirty? Report It?

I noticed today that a competitor for a set of KWs has put the same site with a different domain name for the same set of KWs we are both bidding on, driving all bid prices up.

Should I bother reporting this to Google, will they care?

The second (new) site is on a private domain and different, so I can't actually prove it, but if you take a look at BOTH sites, which are EXACTLY the same, I think its proof enough.

Any advice? AWA?

What's to lose by reporting this?
It sounds as if it's costing your money and breaching the TOS.
Maybe G will help, maybe not, but how can you lose?

I have some experience with this. The few times I've reported it to our account manager they dealt with it quickly (page gone within the hour), but they don't seem to care much beyond that and don't do anything if the offending listings start showing again.

Thanks for the info guys...I doubt I will do anything but keep slit testing my ads to get better CTR and lower my costs this way.

I reported a competitor using superlatives in their ads...words like "highest quality", "leading" etc etc....

got a response saying "they monitor the use of superlatives" and "have guidelines"....we shall see what comes next.

I reported a competitor for double serving; Google replied a week later, and eventually pulled (one set) of his ads.

However, when I've complained about misleading ad copy - a real problem in one of the sectors I work in - I now get a copy-and-paste reply telling me to ignore them until ads are manually reviewed. Trouble is, these ads are stealing my business in the mean time...
