Hi everyone.

I am very new to the Adwords campaigning and cannot work out what is going on with my very first campaign.
Just under a fortnight and my website has had just over
300 hits with 20% of my Keywords and phrases showing strong. Lastnight i thought I would do a search to see how I was going. Couldn't find any of my ads at all. I still have more than enough money in my A/C. This morning I checked. Same thing, still none of my adwords showing up. Yet when I login to my A/C the status is showing active and yet still no more clicks. I thought I may have accidently clicked on the Pause button in my A/C so I clicked on Edit Keywords and just did a Save. Checked Google again an hour later and found my Adwords back up. Checked another hour later. No where to be seen. To really make this worse, I rang my webdeveloper and asked him to do a few keyword searches, it was showing on his computer and yet not on mine. We both live in the same geographic region. I then rang my wife at work and asked her to check using Google Search. My Adwords were not showing on her computer. My A/C in Google is still active but no one has visited our site.
I have emailed Google hopefully they can tell me what is going on. I would appreciate anyones expert advice or opinion on what is happening. I also live in Melbourne Australia. Sorry for being a bit longwinded, but I just can't understand how or why this could be happening.

Cheers Markco

Welcome to WebmasterWorld markco!

This sounds like a daily budget issue - if you don't have your daily budget set high enough AdWords will stagger your ads so that they will show once in a while instead of all the time. This is done to avoid the daily budget being used all in, for example, the first two hours of a 24 hour period - instead your ad shows intermittently over the whole 24 hours.

Hope that helps. :)

Hi edit_G

Thanks for your response.

The only thing is we have increased our daily budget and as I stated there is still a fair bit left in the account. The other thing is why does our ad appear on our webdevelopers computer and not on ours nor my wifes computer at work?

Hi Edit_G,

You must be right.

My current budget was only set on $7 a day. I noticed a small? next to the amount. After I clicked on the button it came up, try $20 a day. LOL! As I said I am just a newbie at all this. Thanks for all your help.

Better get some more $$$ sent to them straight away.

Hopefully if I stay around here long enough I might just learn something.

If after changing your budget, you still can't see your ad, this is the next step to look at:

On Google's site, click preferences, check to see your 'safe search filtering' level. Click on unfiltered and try it again.

I've had this same problem on and off for a week. After three phone calls to support, they finally discovered a problem with one of their servers, which they are working to fix.

Thanks to all who have replied to my help.

Since I have increased my daily budget according to what they believe my spend should be they have put it back in. However, it isn't 24 hrs a day. They are still taking it out for a brief period and then returning back in. I have sent more money to my account which should wet the appetite of Adwords.

As well, I did change my filter preferences to see if that may have any bearing on the matter. Thankyou again.
