anyone know what happend to adwords? I am using adwords for few months now, all was OK, my adwords were producing views and clicks, but since yesterday, there is nothing, for all my campaings! no one view, and no one click, what is wrong?
All my campaings are active and not disabled or refused by google. Could it be that my Credit Card is valid up to 07.2004? i have a new one, but it is valid from 08.2004..
Mike.
Nothing, not a single thing has changed in my campaign - not the ad text, not the keywords, in fact, I was on vacation when this happened. I come back, and *poof* where I was spending hundreds of dollars a day on a campaign and getting a great conversion ratio, now my stats say that I'm getting shown a total of twenty bucks worth a day.
I suppose the silver lining is that I'm not paying hundreds of bucks a day and getting nothing for it ;)
If this reason is not immediately apparent, then IMO, the best thing to do is to contact AdWords support via email or phone.
It is very difficult to troubleshoot AdWords account issues with no access to the account in question, because of the number of possible variables. It amounts to a frustrating exercise in guessing. On the other hand, it is usually very straightforward to troubleshoot while looking at the account itself, and can most often be done in short order.

I have mailed and phoned on several occassions and got absolutely nothing back. The "support" simply does not exist!
Sorry if that has been your experience, casinomax. However, as a member of both teams, I assure you that we exist - and that we're highly interested in getting things working for you.
One quick aside: With amazing frequency, folks write to us from a different email address than the one associated with their account, and then provide absolutely no information that allows us to find the account in question. Often, the entire text of the email is contained in the subject line. The body of the email is empty. And nowhere is there a clue as to what the issue is, or what the account might be. As you might imagine, this slows the process down a bit.
To avoid this frustrating experience, I advise always using the 'Contact Us' link on each page of the account itself. And then be specific about what the problem is - what campaigns/Ad Groups/keywords are affected, and so forth.
Also, be sure to check that your spam filters are not making our emailed replies to you disappear, due to the word 'AdWords', which is almost always in the subject line.
Please see post #3 here, for some additional tips on getting great support:

Well AWA did SOMETHING for me because KABOOM! the ad is running, as estimated and that's cool! Thanks AWA!
Shelbeesmom, I assure you it was not I that pushed the magic 'Go!' button! (Because I don't know your account, and besides, there is no magic 'Go!' button!)
My guess is that your ads got reviewed and approved, or something equally simple.
At the risk of repeating myself, I really think the first step when things seem awry in an account, is to write or phone AdWords support.
(BTW, I loved the KABOOM! - What a great mental picture for a lot of impressions...)

I am about to mail again, please note that I am in the UK so it goes to the team in Ireland?
Would be greatful if you could follow up. I am using the tips you mentioned in the other thread so many thanks for that. Please dont think I am having a go at you personally, its very frustrating when emails go unanswered!
Cheers

Casinomax, just to set appropriate expectations - I am not really able to follow up on this sort of thing. There are two main reasons.
* My 10 to 14 hour days are already quite action packed, and
* I'm sure the moderators of this forum would be less than thrilled if my presence here were to become a 'satellite office' for AdWords support queries.
Sorry to disappoint, but I must. ;)
I recently changed two important keywords to phrase match and then back to exact match. I was experimenting. Now, the keywords are showing ZERO impressions, even though I know that the CPC is high enough to have them in the top 6-7 ads. This has happened for several days now.
Stevenmusumeche, it sounds as if your keywords may be of a 'sensitive' nature (as often discussed on this forum) and that they'll need to be reviewed/approved before running on Google and partner sites. This is just an educated guess, however.
It is worth noting that when one changes the 'matching option' for a keyword, it becomes an entirely new keyword in the eyes of the system.
So, for example, these are three entirely different keywords:
* decravinators
* "decravinators"
* [decravinators]
If you have a 'special case' keyword that needs to be reviewed before running, and you change it’s matching option, then it will need to be reviewed again in it's new incarnation.
Hope that makes sense.

AWA, please sticky me for details. These 2 keywords are the real money makers for us, and they have gone AWOL for the last 2 days and it is really hurting.
I finally got a reply from AdWords which actually makes sense. Here is a snippet:
...However, upon receipt of a recent correspondence updating our trademarked terms list, I saw the word 'widget' now being included as a search term that our system will flag for review before approval and syndication. Apparently, this term was added to our list around the same time you changed the matching options of these terms. Whenever you make changes to your ads or keyword list, your ads are automatically resubmitted for review by our AdWords Specialists. So, your ad was not showing at all for these two terms because they were flagged and pending review.I have since approved these terms and your ad is now showing for these terms. I apologize for the confusion and any frustration caused by this unique situation.
Kudos to AW support for getting to the bottom of this.
11 days, no reply from Google.
About half an hour ago I spoke with an advertiser who was upset that we had not responded to his email. I asked him if he had any filters set up to filter out spam, and like most of us, he did.
You guessed it. All our responses were in his spam folder.
There is not a week that goes by that I don't have this conversation at least a few times. So it is well worth checking your filtering, and your spam folders.
It is also really important to contact us using the correct email address, which is
adwords-support@google.com. Any other eamil address will slow things way down. Also be sure to give us a way to identify your account when you write from an email address other than the one under which your account was created. The simplest way to reach us via email, btw, is by using the 'Contact Us' link on each page of your account.
A while ago, I compiled some tips on getting the most effective support. Below is a link to that thread. Please see post #3:

casinomax, I'm really hoping for speedy resolution. ;)

6 weeks no reply.Registered a new account, with a new card, guess what, no impressions.
casinomax, that is a very long time - clearly something unusual must be at work here.
I'm going to break my own rule, and ask that you send an email using the 'Contact Us' link from within the account you originally wrote about.
I'd ask that you to put 'Please forward to AdWordsAdvisor, by request' in the subject line.
In the body of the email, please let me know that you are casinomax, along with a summary of what has occurred. I'll see what I can figure out, and I'll get back to you offline. (This may take a business day or two, though.)
Mods: I promise, I won't make a habit of this!
