Would be interested to know what you guys think about the following new entry in G's Terms & Conditions:
3.6 Customer grants Google permission to utilise an automated software programme to retrieve and analyze websites associated with the Advertiser Services to enable Google to evaluate ad quality and serving purposes. Customer may expressly opt out of such evaluation in the manner specified by Google.

Pretty much thought they already did this, but more importantly what does the last sentence mean. How do you opt out and what are the implications of doing so?

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that you can expressly opt out by disallowing their bot, but, Google then expressly state that if you do this they will definately deem your site as low quality!

i guess it means that you can ban the adwords-bot from your landing pages and automatically receive 0 points to your quality score

Get a grip Google, USE A SPELLCHECKER.

The UK version of these terms (at least) has a glaring error in the definitions.

“AdWords Progamme” means Google’s online auction based advertising programme;

Not only can they not spell 'Programme' but I had to laugh at the way they still describe AdWords as Auction Based! That's not my interpretation of how their system works now.

Tony_Kovich is correct. To opt out of this automated check, you can disallow the AdWords bot, but this will have an impact on your quality score.

I'll pass along the spelling error. Thanks for mentioning it.

Gasp! An AWA! Any input on the general thrashing that legitimate advertisers have received with $10 bid prices?

People like me with no affiliate links or Adsense that lost all their bids overnight?

You know, what this entire forum is flaming about?
