Listed in Google eventhough I never submitted website

To promote an affiliate program, I purchased a domain name and built a website over this affiliate program. The website has around 6 html pages. I have been using Google AdWords Select to promote this website from the past 3 months.

I have NEVER submitted this website to Google.
I am absolutely sure nobody has linked to my website (being an affiliate site).

But this website is listed in Google. How did Google find my website? Thanks to my AdWords campaigns?

Hmmm. You use Google Adwords, and hoped it wouldn't be found?
Do a search for www.anydomain.com a couple times and it's the same as submitting. Google is pretty good about finding sites.
Keeping them is another matter.

I just didn't bother to submit my website. Affiliate sites (with 6 pages of content) hardly get a good placement in search results.

The important question is -
Will AdWords campaign help improve your PR and your position in search results? Eventhough I've read that AdWords does not influence search results, I'm inclined to think otherwise.

Do you use the Google Toolbar? If you do, that's probably how they found it. If you don't use it, then an open log file is more than likely the cause.

Yes, I use Google Toolbar.

Something interesting which I thought I should mention.

The URL that I am using for Google AdWords promotion is -
[mysite.com...] and
[mysite.com...]

It looks like only [mysite.com...] has PR.

Even [mysite.com...] (home page) has been greyed out.
