If you already achieve high CTR and already have a position, but you decided to change url.. will you lose the established position and be reset to the average position for that catagory?

The URL the ad clicks through to? If you modify an existing ad or keyword - no it won't change the ctr etc (as far as I'm aware).

Changing an ad doesn't affect keyword CTR, which is what the bid rank formula works off of. However, changing an ad does mean it won't be syndicated until it's reapproved.

If you use ad optimizing, changing an ad will reset it's data, and sometimes ad optimizing has issues with brand new ads (changing any part of an ad makes it 'new' again).

What you can do is to use power posting and run custom URLs for all your keywords, this makes it so you don't have to change your ads at all.
