Google Adwords Email response rate is low

i signed up for AdWords on Thurs17th June and according to my capaign manager everything looks like it's active - yet not a single ad has been shown and despite the fact that i have emailed Google several times --- they have not replied other than to send the standard 'welcome to Google Adwords' email.

i think it's a complete disgrace - their level of support is diabolical. I know they are based in Dublin and overloaded, but they don't even offer phone support so i am left waiting for an email to appear explaining why my account is not working. It has been 5 days now!

Google are really starting to nark me off -- are they too big and fat now that they just don't care anymore?

has anyone else had this problem?

No,

In the US anyway, the support is top-notch. everytime I call I get a knowledgeable human in few minutes who *without exception* has been able to solve my problem on the spot or emails me with a solution within an hour.

Can you call the us center?

True. Still, it remains an unacceptable approach to customer care. The easiest way to turn customers agin you is to ignore them.

My account is also under the "UK and Ireland" team and I called the us team several times, but they are not able to help UK/Ireland customers. All they can do is send an email to the UK/Ireland team. You can do this yourself.
I had/have big problems myself with the UK/Ireland team.

Kruger01, I'm sorry if this has been your experience. As someone who has worked with advertisers daily for the past two years, I can certainly tell you that the attitude expressed above is not at all what I see at work here at AdWords. Quite the opposite really.

In any case, I'll make sure that the right folks see your comments. And I hope your ads are up and running very quickly indeed.

Just realized that this may be an excellent time to bring back an 'old favorite' post, with tips on getting the best customer service from AdWords.

Please see post #3 in this thread:

ummm... haven't any problems with Adwords support so far even though I'm not in the US.

Email responses have been prompt.

I have experienced significantly better support by emailing adwords-uk{at}google.com (I'm in Europe).

Dropping a request into the web based support system has never generated meaningful results.
