Hi,

Does anyone know any general statistics? I'm looking for stats that will sell using Adwords to a vendor. For instance, what percentage of Google users will click on an ad vs. a search result? What percentage of vendors have increased sales that are directly related to Adwords? That kind of thing; anything that illustrates why starting an affiliate program is a good thing for a vendor to do.

You should contact Google as they would have this info. In one of their Powerpoints they mention a storage area network company which used 120 keywords and a white paper as the landing page. Within 30 days, they had 67% more traffic, 64% increase in qualified leads, 25% increase in qualified revenue.

Another stat from their head of Tech Enterprise: 80% of people (who click an ad) will click it on the first SERP.
