If I setup a campaign for say "buy widgets", and create another campaign and add the same kw will google show the kw evenly across both campaigns or would it not matter how many I have?

Google will favour the keyword with the best CTR, which makes sens from their (financial) perspective.

What if you owned 5 sites all promoting printers. So you set up 5 campaigns, one for each site. You use the same kw's for each campaign/site. Would it show ads for "buy printer online" evenly throught each campaign.ie say 20% each. Or will they treat each campaign and KW's seperatly. I would guess that you are not allowed to do this, as someone simply has to build 10 sites, and run 10 campaigns for each site to dominate top positions.

As long as these campaigns are running in the same account this is not a problem (multiple accounts is not allowed).

Theoretically if all ads are the same and all keywords are the same you would see an almost even spread with the almost depending on brand recognition and issues like that.

The question of course is what is the point of doing this?

Google will favour the keyword with the best CTR.

G will favor the KW with the highest max CPC.

Say you find a product that sells like mad. Wouldn't you want to create more than 1 site to promote it? The only problem is, if your sites have to share the kw's its kind of pointless. (may as well just have all traffic going to 1 site)
