Adwords driving me nuts!

My account looks fine, but it's just stopped working

My adwords just seem to have stopped, completely stopped.

My budgest isn't even being used, all my campaigns are active. Even my keywords are marked as "strong". Yet none of my ads show.

I have two campaigns, total £10/day budget, and today(it's 4pm now) not a single penny has been used, not a single click or impression. Everything in the adwords panel looks fine. The campaigns haven't expired, the keyword status is good, they haven't been dis-activated the budget is "ok" as told by google.

Can anyone help me with this please?

No where near, like 2k.

Another thing is aswell, when I edit an add group. Then I go to estimate traffic, whatever CTC I enter it gives me "zeros" all across the board, every value in the table.

Yet if I create a new campaign, using the same keyword, the estimate will give me different results.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, schem!

As highly knowledgable and sharp as WebmasterWorld members are, it is still really hard to troubleshoot questions of this nature due to:

* the high number of variables that could cause the problem, combined with

* the limited amount of information that you can provide here, combined with the fact that

* we can't see your account

So, I'd always suggest that in combination with posting here, that you also contact AdWords support and ask them to take a look at your actual account.

Here is a thread from the past that gives some hints on getting the best customer service from the AdWords support team:

This normally indicates the ad groups are under reviewed due to some unknown reasons (stop words, common words, etc.).

Does anyone have a UK phone number for the AdWords team? We also had all ads disappear with no explanation or note on the account.

I still haven't resolved this problem. No matter what I do my ads aren't appearing. I check all the settings over and over, created new campaings with extreme budgets and nothing.

Current 'waiting' to hear from google UK support. I'm promoting adult sites, I dunno if that matters or not.

Ditto. Checked this morning, all campaigns (5) different domains, different topics, all just stopped! Not serving, not taking money from the account. Nada!

Have sent an email to adwords support. The only worry is they don't open until the Pacific cost does so I can't call the help line number I have. Not great service for a 24 hour medium.

Is this a wider issue?

And shak, what do you mean by the magic 100k impressions?

1. press 1 and enter your Customer ID. Your ID number is located at the top of every page in your AdWords account, next to your name and email address.

or

2. Press 2 if you do not have your Customer ID available and would like to be transferred to the next available AdWords Specialist.

Just spoke to them. Apparently it is a 'technical issue' (who'd have thought). It could take up to three days to resolve.

Hopefully my manager won't fire me by then for a massive drop in sales.

If it's a technical issue, why couldn't they send out a mail to let people know?

I've wasted many hours trying to figure out why it isn't working :/

@ schem
Please let me know when your campaigns start again. Mine (also adult) have stopped showing on last saturday morning. I've sent several emails to the support but they didn't reply. I've sent another email about a different emergency issue on last thursday, also without response so far (4 business days).

Weird thing is I had this several times in the last 2 months that all my campaigns stopped showing suddenly, they never said that was due to a technical issue. They always said that I violate their terms here or there (which was not true sometimes).

I currently have two support issues with the Adwords team about a similar issue (adword does not show, but keywork is ok...)

Same problem, also UK - everything has stopped displaying - no issue with budget or keywords or account.

Waiting for a response from support.

None Here.

I had a couple of impressions this morning, but it looks as though it's gone dead again.

My campaigns have started working. I got a reply from google UK. They said my accounts had reached it's impression limit, which meant it had to be reviewed by an adwords specialist. This was only 2k impressions or so. weird.

This was only 2k impressions or so

The impression limit is at 100k.

Why do they tell always so freaky reasons for campaigns that have stopped?

Is it possible someone is reviewing my account with 71k clicks and 4 million impressions?

But why cite technical reasons? Why not at least warn me in email? And more importantly, why do they need to take you off line while doing so? It is complete nonsense.

I don't know if google have ever given lessons in customer service, but the number 1 rule is: if you screw up, communicate!

The worst thing ever from a customer care point of view is sitting on a problem, hiding all the fact and not communicating the issues. That and making unkept promises.

I suggest everyone with a similar problem in the UK bombard the call centre with Shak's number until they get a response, or google at least email an acknowledgement.

I still can't believe that they are always saying quality is their no. 1 goal but the customer support is acting so unprofessional as if google would offering adwords just since 2 days. I'm still waiting for a response to an emergency email I sent them 6 days ago (and I have even re-sent this email 2 times already). Are these full time google employees there or is this more a part time job for students?

4 hours ago I have submitted 4 new campaigns to kanoodle and they have already passed the review process, and I even had a short email conversation with the reviewer. These guys are unbelievable fast compared to google.

Any news anyone? Also interesting that AWA hasn't revisted this thread. We're obviously just more white noise.

No response from support in 2 days. AWA & the help pages say target response time is within 24 hours / 1 business day. Come on Google - problems don't come worse than this one!

Phoned today & spoke to someone who couldn't get into my account at all themselves! Will get someone technical to look at it, but probably won't get back to me until tomorrow. By then my ads wil have been down 10 days! But what does that matter, I'm only a customer.

Oh my. Sorry to disappoint.

However, sometimes my day job does get in the way of being here on WebmasterWorld. Such is the case these past few days - as my tasks have overwhelmed my time.

Doing my best folks!

Even though Shak has heard through the grapevine that posting here is my full time job, that is not really the case. ;)

Damn, I can freak out. I just got an email from them telling me that my acount is closed because I have violated one of their terms for the second time and they're refering to a disapproval I got last thursday. I wrote them 20 times in the last days that they have made an error with this disapproval but they didn't care at all. My ads are in full compliance with their guidelines. I can't believe this anymore.
Google adwords, you have the worst support!
