I set up an ad with a long list of keywords and today there are 28 keyword phrases that are disapproved. Most of these phrases have misspelled keywords that are NOT listed as "protected keyword".

Do companies have that right? Is this a normal practice?

I have many mis-spelled keywords in my account. There is no problem except when the dynamic titles in the ads are used for these keywords. All mis-spelled Kws with dynamic title will be disabled.

If this case is applied and these kws/dynamic titles are important to you, you should set up a second ad group for these Kws with a normal title.

Sorry but can you explain "dymanic title"? Thats a new one to me. Or post a link. Thanks

So, you're not using the dynamic titles. This is the link:

...there are 28 keyword phrases that are disapproved.

This is actually pretty unusual, zeus661. You'll almost certainly have received an email telling you why this was done.

FromRocky is right on the money as to the most common cause. If this is not the case for you, and if you didn't get an email, I'd write to adwords support from within your account and ask why the words were disapproved. Be sure to mention which campaign and Ad Group.
