Adwords getting hacked for fun

Hi,

My advertising in adwords seems to be getting changed every week. Sometimes who ever is doing this just changes the country my adwords appear, but today I have found alot of links that have been changed. I have changed my password many times and also changed my login name to see if that would help.

I thought maybe it was somebody in my company so I have changed the passwords and not told anyone but still my adwords are still getting changed.

It is not just me that this is happening to. Other people who i know that sell the same products tell me this is happening to their accounts.

It is defiantly one of my competitors.

This problem occurs everyday when i reduce my prices and up my advertising costs.

Also I was getting my site hacked a few months ago and having things like my payment gateway changed or the prices increased 20%. I ended up changing every password on my site, which seems to have fixed the problem, but still there is some one who is managing to get into my adwords account no matter what i do.

I have contacted Goggle about this a few times and all they have said is they will look into it but I have never got a response beyond that.

Is there any one else out there that have had this problem?

Have you changed your passwords after your sites got broken into?

I change my passwords all the time. I'm sure it can't be a bug. I once changed my prices very low and up the advertising to 2 dollars a click. I got quite alot of orders but the next day some one had changed the location my ads to show in Russia.

I'm sure my PC has not been hacked as I run all the latest anti-virus stuff. I thought they might be getting in through my PC at home because I leave VNC running so I formatted, changed all the passwords and set it so none of the new passwords can be saved.

I have checked my logs when my site got hacked before but its hard to tell whos ip belongs to who.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Adwords log-in to my knowledge is very very secure, and I have never heard of a 3rd party gaining access without authorisation...

I don't have the same problem as you, but sometimes I seriously wonder if some of my deleted KeyWords within an AdGroup, are being reinstated. I swear I have seen this.

Hmm, that post was exactly 6 months ago to the day.

You dont know the half of it, we are not at 200 yet but have managed to get a few quite a few different accounts advertsing at the same time. I managed to get this going by hosting with different hosting companies and highing people to manage the different sites.

The problem is that my main account which i only have access to keeps getting hacked.

Again to day I have found that some one set my daily budget to 0.01.

I'm just wondering if the server problems at the moment are due to google patching security holes.

Shak - that's classic.

BlueYon - buy a new computer, set-up a firewall, lock your computer every time you leave your desk and change all your passwords. Building a moat and walls around your desk may also be helpful.
