Canada
France
Germany
Italy
Netherlands
Spain
UK
USA

You seem to be able to drill down into regions, towns and cities in these countries as well.

I know the US has been around for a while - but the others are new I think.

Can't wait to play. :)

[adwords.google.com...]

very very interesting.

I suggest every one logs into their account and has a play around when trying to create a new campaign.

Location targeting options
Select your targeting option. The option you choose will apply to all ads in your campaign.
(You may build separate campaigns with different targeting options as needed.).

Option Best suited for:

Global or nationwide
Your ads will appear to searchers anywhere in the country or countries you select. - Global businesses.
- Merchants who serve specific countries.

Regions and cities
Your ads will only appear to searchers located in the states and/or regional areas you choose. (Only available in some countries.). - Local businesses specialising in certain cities and states.
- Stores with target customers located throughout a city or cities.

Customised
Your ads will only appear to searchers located within a specified distance from your business. - Local businesses serving a specific area.

G needs to get rid of the 5 max regions per campaign rule.

Although, a 500 mile radius for the customize setting is very generous, should be interesting to see how well it resolves itself vs how the current local search can figure out your current location.

Thanks for noticing, edit_g!

Ahhh, yes. I think you may find that this'll be coming, eWhisper. And sooner rather than later!

This is very cool - you can target by latitude and longitude. I can finally make sure that my space heater ads reach those researchers at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. :)

(Just for the record, I don't believe the latitude and longitude targeting is available in all countries)

Is there a way we can see our ads? I'm in Australia - but say I wanted to target users in New York - is there some way I can see my ads in context?

Thank you! Just made my day (well, and more work for tomorrow)

This will be nice for new campaigns.

However...if I could only merge campaigns together that target the same state but each only have 4-5 regions in them...

Not complaining...this is a great move - one more to remove from the wish list.

Yah, I'm kind of jazzed about it too. Just to be clear though, no thanks are due to me - I had nothing to do with it.

My timing just happened to be really good!

...if I could only merge campaigns together that target the same state but each only have 4-5 regions in them...

I'll pass this on.

Then take part of the thanks for sending our suggestions to the team as you're the liason, and make sure the guys locked in the back rooms writing the code get passed the word that their improvements are much appreciated.
