General Ads vs Specific Targeted ads?

Ok, my store is only about a year old. I have some very specific ads with prices and to get converstions from those.

I also have a couple of ads that are generic about the products I carry. I get lots of hits from the generic ones. Almost 10 times the number of clicks.

Now the generic terms are generating about 2 times the sales volume as most of my specific ones. But they cost me a lot more in adword fees.

So here are my questions.
1) is it worth it to generate traffic in the hopes they bookmark and come back later regardless of the ROI on the ad? remember my store is only a year old.

2) Overall, I am still making money on my adwords but the profit would be a lot higher if I removed the generics. So remove them and loose the traffic?
