Is AdWords CP just not working right now?

Starting last night, I had to refresh every page to see the changes, it's like every page was being cached (I've not installed anything new on my computer in weeks).

Today, everytime I try to make a new ad group or new ad, I get the error "Your latest changes were not processed...", and nothing I try gets saved.

Is it my computer, or are others having this problem?

Works fine here ewhisper. I'm just setting up a new campaign (my stats are slow but that's old news).

Changes are being saved IF I refresh every page, and then make a change.

Seems there might be a cache issue somewhere. My browser doesn't cache https pages, but I'm wondering if my provider changed something recently.

Maybe worth asking the guys in the html and browser or the webmaster general section. It may be something simple like deleting the cache or the cookies.
Sorry I cant help more

As I'm trying to set up a new campaign, the system keeps dropping ads when I calculate cost estimates.
The ad shows on the left, but right above in red it says, "no ads".

Don't know if it's at all related to what you're seeing.

Mildly annoying, but not the end of the world. I'm accessing through IE6

I've pinged the techsters here, eWhisper, and sounds like you may have scumware at work under the hood. No issues on our end that would account for this behavior.

They also mentioned that you may simply have run out of space in your cache.

Hope this gives you a few places to start looking for a fix.

Hmm, I may be seeing a similar problem. When I create a new adgroup and get to the part where I set max CPC, it shows "You have no ads" in red under the "Create new ads" header. Then if I recreate the ad manually it works fine.

I don't *think* I've taken on any new scumware. The only thing nonstandard here is that I'm running Mozilla Firefox, though I haven't had any problems with it and Adwords before.

No scumware (this computer has very few things installed on it from the net - its my haven when I screw up the other ones).

I switched from Avant browswer to an old Phoenix build and no problems at all.

Guess its just one more project to add to that list :)

I having the exact same problem. It might be only some of their servers (or I think more people would be in this thread). I'm on Internet Explorer 6 or so.

nerowolfe:
"You have no ads" in red under the "Create new ads" header.

It looks like negative keywords are causing the problem. When I create a new ad group without negative keywords, I'm not encountering the problem.

AWA, can you pass along to your folks if you see this?

Will do, JBrown. I've been doing that during the course of the day.

Thanks!

jbrown, thanks for the tip, though we're still seeing it even with just a simple list of exact matches (no negatives at all). Maybe it only happens when you upload lots of terms? That's just speculation tho, I haven't actually done anything to try to isolate the problem.

It looks like negative keywords are causing the problem. When I create a new ad group without negative keywords, I'm not encountering the problem.

I had the same problem yesterday afternoon (3pm onwards GMT) and I wasn't using negative keywords in those campaigns.

It seemed quite random, I was going back with the back button to save me re-typing Ads in then resubmitting them and eventually one would get through. It was possible to start campaigns without Ads, but I didn't check to see if they showed up as a blank box or just didn't show.

Windows XP, IE 6.0. Not sure about server, but I can check and find out if it helps.

I've been trying to get two new accounts working for clients and I'm running into the same thing - and once I got a notice that "in two minutes the AdWords interface will become unavailable for 10 minutes."

I think they're working on something. The campaigns I did set up (apparently) are still not appearing. Or maybe all those last minute March 31 certs have overloaded their system ;)

Hi all,

Thanks for the continuing information - based on the several comments such as the one quoted below, the engineers are doing some bug hunting.

Hmm, I may be seeing a similar problem. When I create a new adgroup and get to the part where I set max CPC, it shows "You have no ads" in red under the "Create new ads" header. Then if I recreate the ad manually it works fine.

From the above posts, it looks like at least two specific things are causing problems: a long list of items and negative keywords.

For exact information, I ran into problems when I had 4 broad matching keyword terms and used even one negative keyword.

I ended up creating an ad group and then adding in the negative words after I was finished to avoid the problem.

Thanks for the help, AWA!

Just an update, I did nothing to my computer at all, and today my old browswer (Avant) isn't having any of the problems I had earlier this week with the G CP and having to refresh pages.
