Slow reporting and googles 1000 impressions rule

I cannot steer if I do not know what is happening

I'm setting up a new fairly high volume campaign for one of my customers and i notice that reporting becomes slower and slower. It sometimes takes up to 24 hours to get the detailed data at the keyword level.

Normally this is not a problem, except when starting high volume campaigns who run the risk of being stopped before you even have had a chance to look and act on the stats.

Of course I'm phasing in actions like this to minimize that risk but my point is that you cannot steer without data. Obviously there are 2 solutions to this, get the data faster and don't stop campaigns so soon and I would prefer the 1st.

Any thoughts on this?

I'm surprised some accounts are still having this problem. All our client account reporting seems to be fine. Definitely not 24 hours late.

I presume you mean high impression keywords in your campaign. In your case, I would recommend adding only one or two adgroups per day. Don't upload all the keywords at once.

Thanx vibgyor79,

I'm doing just that. And after the 1st 24 hours reporting does usually gets back to normal (it does in this case). It seems like it takes more and more time to get its first updates these days.

I guess adwords is getting a lot more popular :)
