If my CTR's are quite lower on the Content Targeting impressions, should I dissable it? If so, how do I do that?

Here's a good thread on content macthing.

You can turn off content at the campaign level by clicking on 'Edit Campaign Settings'.

Do be aware that the CTR for Content Targeting impressions and clicks is not considered as part of the CTR that determines if keywords will remain running, or be disabled.

So low CTR for Content Targeted ads is not automatically a reason to 'disable' it.

If possible steveweber123, look at your conversion rates from content. If the ROI from your campaign is not what you want, especially on high cost keywords, opting out of content is one thing that may help to generate a better ROI.

Is CTR from content targeting considered in the bid/CTR formula for ad placement? If so, anyone wanting to shave off many impressions should 'disable' to improve placement, at no extra cost.

Only the CTR on Gs site alone is used to determine the CTR in the bid rank formula. Partner sites (i.e. AOL), and content targeting are not used in the calculation.

Thanks for posting that eWhisper! You beat me to the punch with exactly correct answer.

I've got to get up earlier, or something!

Nobody answered Steve's question? How to disable? I want to do it but can't find how? I know it's probably right in front of my nose, but a little hint would be welcomed:)

Ooops..there it is..sorry.

You can turn content targeting off under campaign settings. On your main summary page, select your campaign and click edit settings .
