How often does AdWords (Google) bill one's credit card during a campaign?

I ask because I just ran a campaign for $160 and Google billed me $8 and change thus far- since 1 week ago.

I paused the campaign and am waiting for Google to charge the rest so I may pay it off. I check my credit card online every day and don't like charges to hang around or 'sneak' up on me. ;)

I think it default bills at around $500.00 unless you get your limit raised.

But their may be a time frame too. For instance, it may bill after 30 days if you haven't reached $500.00.

They usually bill approximately every month, unless you go over your limit.
