Perry Marshall - haven't read this one.
Google Adword's Handbook - OK, but too much theory & not enough "how to" info for most users (& I never understood why it has "21 ways" in the title).
There's also "mastering adwords" which is good (written by WW member vibgyor), but I don't know if it's been updated since google changed it's broadmatching system & added new interface features.
And there's the "adword's advertising handbook" from adcando publishing which is very good if you want a step by step guide that's up-to-date.
Of course, you could always spend a few hours reading this forum & you'd get all the info you need, but the guides are particularly useful if you're new to Adwords.
This place is great yeah but it's hard to gain a full & broad understanding from reading conversations.
When I learnt css it was great to read the PVII ebook from start to finish. I'm looking for something like that really.
I also came accross a couple of ebooks dealing with google adwords:
- googlecash
not bad for someone new to the field
- the definitive guide by perry marshall
haven't read this, a review anyone?
- Google adwords insider success by RL Rumford
haven't read this one either, anyone?
as a novice in the field of googleads I find solid information hard to come by therefore I would like to invite anyone to write down what they read and how they liked it.
tia!
Sitepoint has a good 4 part series of articles on "Google adwords secrets" or some similar (equally exagerated) title very recently.
If I were you
a) I'd read the Adwords help thoroughly. They give you all the most fundamental tips there
b) look at those sitepoint articles
c) lurk and post here
Unless you are short on time and long on money, in which case you might think that an nice easy to print ebook for $50 is worth maybe 2 extra hours of your time reading stuff online. But don't expect anything amazing there you wouldn;t get fairly easily elsewhere.

Search around for blogs on Adwords. Some have detailed information on what made certain campaigns really successful or others a total failure.
The "maximum effect" is the most current pdf in there and certainly well worth the read.
I think the AdWords FAQ, and the Advertising Tutorials and Guides are very much under-utilized by advertisers.
There is some pretty good information to be had there.
OK, I'll admit it. I hate reading FAQs too. But in this case it's worth it, I promise you. :)
