Slow reports revisited

Still an issue

A few months ago I posted a thread on slow reporting. It ended with the advise not to make campaigns and adgroups too large (good advise).

I still experience problems with slow reports which never appear in the browser even with campaigns with limited adgroups and keywords.

The problem seems to be that the system "times-out" after a few minutes (and gives a page not found) and I was wondering (as many others do not have this problem) could this be a browser setting problem?

I ran reports for 1000 KWs last night and this morning that didn't take more than a minute to create. Not sure on the size you're running, but I'm using Avant browser (i.e. 6.0 frame basically) and have hardly had report errors - the times I have, it's been those days where you make 2 clicks inside the account and G spits you out to the login page.

I've tried a report over 500 or so keywords and the last 3 months for conversion tracking and I cannot do more than 1 month (which takes 3 or 4 minutes I guess). Anything longer will give an error.

I'm just using plain old IE 6.0.2 with all relevant security patches. I'm beginning to think it's browser related if you do not have those problems.

What are U using Shak?
