I hope my subject doesn't mislead, but I have been studying and experimenting with Adwords for about a month now. I found this forum a few weeks ago. I had been condidering purchasing one of those online, "all-about-adwords", tutorials. Fortunately I found this forum! I see no reason to buy anything for Adwords help! I have been browsing this forum until today. I regisgtered this morning and posted a question, and I got a rapid, useful answer (Thanks SkiBum!)! Being an Adword newbie, I can highly recommend this forum to all Adwords' newcomers! I have learned so much about Adwords, and it has cost me $0.00!

Thank you!

I have not read any such books but if they are well-written and are up-to-date, then you get the benefit of not being misled by some ill-informed but well-argued advice you see here.

Only experience will teach you who is right or wrong within your own context.

Books might help those who are unable to assimilate all the information available in a large forum like this one. Hey - I could definitely use a book on SEO, for example.

But if you are able to read all the important threads and implement the suggestions/tips, then you won't be needing a $49.95 book. Who knows? We might even see an AdWords book from Steve Weber?

I agree with vibgyor79. You can never have enough info about this stuff and one good suggestion can be worth thousands of dollars in this business.
