adwords urls and penalties

If you promote a spammy type URL in adwords, in the sense that it would be penalized in a standard listing (not that it is SPAMMY as in against adwords terms), does this carry over into the standard listings and google will penalize the URL? I don't think adwords url's should mix with standard listing URL's personally...

Google says they keep the adwords department and the algo department seperate.

So they do not talk specific urls over lunch ;)
