EU Vat Rate of 21% not 19% as promised

I don't know if anyone remembers, but google said they would start charging VAT at the irish rate of 19% about 2 weeks ago, to EU based customers. However they have started charging (me) at 21%.

While the Irish Vat Rate is 21%, someone at google must have made a mistake when they posted 19%. They now say (The Current Irish Vat Rate) in their notices.

We received an e-mail correcting the original one stating it was 19%, but if you are UK based and VAT registered and provide Google with your VAT details then you will be able to self-assess at 17.5%
