CPC Going Way Down

I have been keep track of my CPC for the past year and of course it went quite high at Christmas($5.00)and as expected went back to it's yearly average of $1.50 afterwards. But for the past 2 days, with above average impressions and the same people advertising the price has dropped to .55. I love it but what's the reason? Has anyone else seen this?

In the last couple of days I've seen a huge increase of clicks/impressions while the CTR and CPC stayed the same (always 5 cent bids so no wonder that CPC stays the same :-)). Unfortunately the conversion rate is going down, so I have to delete more and more high traffic phrases.
