what percent traffic does your site get from each?

I have an Adwords campaign to drive traffic to my site, and I get maybe 4-5 users per day (at a very expensive cost of $15/day/budget). Currently my site's ranked pr0 - but I'm hoping to improve this down the road.

My question to y'all is, what percent of your total traffic comes from adwords, and from SERPs? 90%-10%? 50%-50%? what kind of averages should I expect once my page ranks higher?

This depends a lot on the industry. People who are searching for info are more likely to click on serp listings, people who want to buy stuff are more likely to look at an ad.

IMO, advertsing and serp listings should compliment each other. If you're dependant on one traffic source, you risk losing everything in a single update. Diversify as much as possible where your traffic comes from so no individual change (or new competitor) can grossly affect your site stats.
