Running large reports does not work

And for analyses you need them anyway

I have more and more trouble getting fairly large reports to run. They simply will be stuck even after a few re-runs (even running them at night US time). Although G suggests to run these reports with less options and smaller date ranges, I need large data ranges to make accurate conversion stats.

Do other experience this as well and/or is there some type of workaround? In general I think the current system is not workable if you can only use it for small sets of data (reports are made to process large amounts of data)

Let me know your experiences....

I ran several reports yesterday for the past 12 months. So I don't think it's having problems with large reports.

Thanx guys,

Do you ask for those reports in your browser or do you save/have them e-mailed. Getting them in the browser is my problem and I have not tried it any other way sofar...

I use both, depends on what I'm doing. Both worked yesterday without incident.

Okay,

Then I need to contact G as it may be specific to this campaign which has 45 adgroups and a few 1000 KW's...

Thanx

Robsp, you may have hit on the answer in your last post.

There are some suggested limits regarding keywords, which if exceeded may cause sluggish navigation, and other issues.

These suggested limits are:

* 100 Ad Groups per campaign.

* Maximum of 2000 keywords per campaign, counted over all Ad Groups.

* Maximum of 750 keywords for a single Ad Group (while still keeping in mind the above mentioned max of 2000 per campaign).

Good point AWA,

I did a count today and found that my 32 adgroups in my largest campaign have 2738 keywords these days (they multiply quickly :-) I run a precision targeted campaign without any broad matching.

Question: If I bring the number of keywords back to under 2000 will the system speed up again or will the legacy data continue to hunt me...
