hi All,

1) what is the difference between Google search sites and Google content sites?

2) Where I can get the list of content sites and search sites that Google powers. Would be specifically interested
in knowing the list of content sites on which you use Adsword.

3) Do I have an option to specify the sites on which I would like to have my Ad appear besides Goolge?

regards
Priya

Hi Priya, Welcome to WebmasterWorld :)

Content sites are informational sites where the ads are displayed depending on the content.

Search sites are search engines, where the user has entered a query, and your ad is matched to that query.

Unfortunately, the number of content sites is so huge, that a list is pretty much out of the question. There are a couple of ways you can search for content sites, and make descisions based on what you find there. I was recently using "ads by google" <keyword> where <keyword> is an area I might be interested in advertising in.

Priya,

Welcome to webmasterworld, cute name :)

in answer to your questions:

1, Google search sites is partners such as ASKjeeves and AOL, whilst Google content sites are sites such as TheRegister and dictionary.com etc etc.
[adwords.google.com...]

2, A small snapshot of partners is published, but NO full comprehensive list is shared. [adwords.google.com...]

3, NO, You have 4 choices:

a, Google only
b, Google and partner search sites
c, Google and content sites.
d, All of the above

Hope that answers your question.
