I know this may be as much my ineptness as excel as anything, but here goes. When I load my .csv report into excel, some of the dates in the date column are left justified, some are right. I try to format the date column cells to be the 'date' format, and have tried all the different types (like 14/1/03, 14 Jan 03, etc..) but only half the dates (the right justified ones) are read as dates, the others just stay as text. So when I sort by date, it puts all the text ones up the top, all out of order. Can anyone please help me with this?

Thanks,
Dave

<the others just stay as text>? or is it displayed as hashes (#####), for which just need to increase the size of the column(s). Click on the top bar of the excel sheet, & click on any one of the 'align' tabs, to format.

Well, the problem isn't the alignment, the problem is that some of the dates are read as dates, some of them arent. I dont really care which side they end up on, I just want to sort them :) Thanks
