Hi,

How do you differentiate between clicks from target content or google search in your adwords campaign?

One tracking system we use is designed specifically to track search referrals. AdWords is set up in its own campaign and anything that shows up without a search engine or keyword attributed to it is assumed to be from the content syndication.

Essentially it just shows a big block of unidentifiable traffic with associated leads and sales. If it looks good we keep it, if not we ax the content syndication.

Have a look for pagead2.googlesyndication.com in your logfiles.
These are the clicks received from content sites and you also find information about the site where the ads were placed in the referer
