Adwords and credit reservations

Is Adwords reserving credit?

One of my customers was nowhere near the limit of his creditcard but could not pay a business bill. The creditcard company said these were "reservations" by other parties which he would not disclose.

We are a significant adwords advertiser so could it be adwords that is "reserving credits" for the remainder of the month?

Anyone experience with this?

I've never had this problem with G before. One of my clients uses a debit card, and often only has enough in the account to cover the current costs of all their ppcs, and nothing past that, and they've not had problems with other accounts not being able to be paid.

Although, I'm surpised if it's your credit card, that someone can make a reservation against your account and the credit card company not tell you who wants to charge you. This seems strange to me, and I think I'd raise issues with the credit card company about this type of disclosure.

We will talk to them but I also wanted to find out first who would possibly do this. And what is a better place than this forum, right :-)
