To my suprise, my credit card was recently declined by google for my adwords campaign. I did not receive the email and only noticed when I logged in to check my results.
It also appears that my free listings have been removed from google. This has caused a big dip in traffic and sales.
I gave my credit card details again (the same CC used for months with no problems) and it was accepted. But I have yet to receive a reply from google. I would like to know if I have been punished for them thinking I wasn't paying when it was not my fault.
Has anyone had problems getting replies from google? Is there a phone number (UK) which I can actually speak to someone?
I realise they are big and are very busy, but some acknowledgement would be nice. After all I have spent a lot of time and money with them, and will continue to do so (hopefully).
Cheers,
Tim
No. Google probably realizes that credit card can be rejected for lots of external reasons (goof up by the credit card company, for example). Hence there is no 'penalty' for the declining of the credit card. Re-enter your card details, pay the arrears and you should be fine.
However, call up the credit card company first and ask them about this specific transaction.
