Only Adwords Select will appear on AOL

Google dropping Adwords impressions for partners?

Just recieved an email from Google Adwords that AOL will only show the top three Adwords Select.

The old Adwords impressions CPM will not show up at AOL.

Furthermore Compuserve and Netscape will follow later and will not be implemented immediately as with AOL.com.

This does not surprise me. This is consistent with AOL's SERP format. It also adds value to Pay for Placement. People have been trying to outbid each other for the top three spots on other PPC engines, why not Google?

It's not showing 3 listings per kw in my area. For my kws there are 0, 1 or 2 listings even though 3 or more are available. I hope there isn't a minimum bid/clickthru factor.

Probably a transition problem. I wonder how often Google will update the AOL db.
