If your site gets banned

Does your whole account get banned?

Hey

Just wondering if I start putting ads on one of my new sites and it gets banned, does my whole account get banned or just that website?

Cheers

They ask you to remove the code from that site or your whole account gets banned.

I have a site that has been banned and I contacted AS regarding that, then have had a written permission that my site is fully complient with AS.

Getting banned from google searching engine is something and violating adsense TOS is another thing.

Surely my above statement is based on the assumption that you mean "ban" as in "ban from the searching engine".

Cheers

Since this is the adsense forums I'll assume you're asking about adsense ;)

Yes, the whole account is banned, not just one site.
I've heard cases, I guess they were important publishers, where they were warned about one specific sites in their account, and just removed the adsense from that site and their account were still safe. But those were very special cases.

Thats harsh. Can you open an account again?

You could probably open an a new account if you disguised it well enough, i.e., abbreviated name, new FEIN (rather than SS#), different mailing address, different email address and from a whole other computer. Would probably work?

My domain was banned from the Google index for 54 days.

(site:mydomain.com returned "Your search - site:mydomain.com - did not match any documents.")

But my AdSense code remained on those pages the entire time, continued to earn with Y, M and other traffic, and payments were made. The account is still in good standing.
