hi, i am quite new here, just join the Google Adsense program for my blog.

wish to ask, is the Page eCPM (value) is fixed? and wat is the factor that modified them? it seems to me that, even a page have high page impression, if nobody click on the ads, the earning is still zero.

does this mean that the page impression value is only served for reference purpose while what really generate earning is "click"?

sorry for my stupid,
and thank you in advance

Welcome to the forum.

No, it is not fixed because you are usually paid per click.

If you were paid every time an ad is displayed, the rate the advertiser pays you is referred to as "CPM" - Cost Per Thousand impressions (impression = one display of an ad; 'M' is Latin for a thousand).

If you are paid every time an ad is clicked, there is no payment based on "CPM". But for comparison purposes, you can calculate what the equivalent CPM would be, if you were paid that way - ie: eCPM (effective Cost Per Thousand).
