How Does Adsense Filter Impressions?

Always seems to show twice less than expected.

I run Adsense on all of my pages. I get about 5000 visitors per day, however I also get like 5400 or 5900 page impressions per day. Note that I am talking about page impressions.

Now, this would imply that each visitor an average is visiting only 1 page, or even less than one page, since I work on the site each day viewing more than few hundred pages. It's a content rich site and each page is a rich content.

Therefore, should I assume that in certain countries (may be India, China) Adsense is now showing any impressions, not even the public ads.

I had heard that in average each visitor visits from 2-3 pages. If 3 is correct in my case that means Adsense is showing only the 1/3 of my impressions.

How do you explain this problem and what would you suggest to do? If there are certain countries that Adsense is not showing anything what alternatives should I chose to monetise on those visitors?

i would guess that your content is not sticky enough....before blaming google check your own logs for answer.....would love to get a glimpse at your site... sticky me the url

Actually I am not blaming Adsense and hope that my content is not too bad, but can't there be any other resons?

Does Adsense show impressions worldwide? Or there are countries that nothings shows?

where did you get this piece of information and what makes you think it correct?

and even if it is correct it is an average, so what makes you think it should be 3 in your case? why not 2? or even why not 1? even why not 4?

are you sure you are measuring your visitors/page views correctly? many stats programs get it very wrong and count unknown robots as visitors/views

Hi,

Roughly 50% of the page "impressions" I get are from spiders (and compromised/infected machines are maybe 5% within that).

Have you fully accounted for that?

There's also the possibility that javascript has been disabled by users, or users have blocked adsense from showing in their hosts file. Maybe your logfiles show x number of hits, but before Adsense has had time to deliver the ads and record an impression the visitor has moved on, and so on.

I am using AWSTAT for my stats and it tells you which one is from spiders which one are human. The number that I brought up was only from human.

However, you may be right that some people just block the adsense. Are there any stats as to how many percent of people block adsense? What can be done about this?

Is there solution against those who block?
