That is friggin awesome! I am so happy for you.

Everyone here should begin posting milestones and when certain goals are achieved.

Anyway, $5,000 is very exciting. Congratulations. Hope to see you posting $10,000 within the next year.

Congrats OddDog!

$5k was the easy part, trying to hit $10K is like climbing a greased pole so far.

Statistically I should've already been there but someone put the voodoo whammy on my eCPM when I started to get too close.

I'll race ya! ;)

Excellent climb! $5000 in six months is really good. I guess you had an established site with regular hits coming in from SERPS. Guess "You discovered your site's full revenue potential." ;-)

Guess "You discovered your site's full revenue potential." ;-)

And even then you've probably not reached the full potential.

It's sometimes amazing how much more you can squeeze out of a website, sometimes you can still double your income when you thought you've reached the max.

But in this case I'm not solely talking about AdSense. Things like affiliate programs, private advertising deals, ... can boost your income pretty good.

c'mon, spread the wealth. As you have learned from WW - give us one pearl! What was the most significant factor in your success?

hi all

yes i meant 5k a month,

honest projection for october is around the 7k figure.

biggest pearl of wisdom i can give is the following. ...

test, test and test some more.

the google adsense hot spots are spot on .. just keep testing.

I made some errores in testing in august resulting in a poor month in comparision to july, but those leasons have been applied in sept.

I would add, that on the few micro sites I am running (just start up things - special interests of mine) where I have placed the ads in the left hand column, the CTR and CPM have been huge - sometimes 10 times or more my usual placements of leaderboard or right hand column - this seems to me to be the hottest spot, other than stuff right in the middle of the page or "content".

How much traffic per month in unique visitors and/or page views are you people that are making $5K per month getting?

Thanks!

I have a friend who makes $50,000/day via a overture search feed. The sky is really the limit if you know what you are doing.

Odd Dog,

Thanks for the inspiration! Great to know what's possible.

What kind of progression did you make with your earnings over the 6 months. E.g. Was it like $5 on day 1, $10 per day by month 2 etc etc? Did you get a linear improvement or did you get an exponential one? Were you setting yourself goals?

Markus007, was that a typo? $50k per day works out as $18million per year.

Cheers

Why is everybody asking for tricks? There are no tricks that make you earn that much money, it's all about traffic and making good use of it.

When I started with add-sense just a week ago I had close to $600 on a single day. Very simple, I had 35,000 visitors that day. I haven't even done any fine-tuning. Those who focus on adsense tricks and less on content of their site will never make $5000 a month, it's as simple as that.

Sure, fine-tuning is needed, but don't stare yourself blind on it.
