I joined Adsense in February. About 4 months later, I got the first 100$. I used this sum in developping my site and get more visitors as well as customers. CPM and CTR increased. I enjoyed my achievement and forget to keep an eye on satistics. In 17th August, when the total earning of mine was nearly 200$, Google sent me a mail tell me that they disabled my account because of invalid clicks. (I'm from Vietnam where nearly every the Internet Service Provider uses Network Address Translation (NAT). As a result, NAT might be the main reasons for the fact that Google have defined invalid clicks on my site because the IP is the same). I did everything with the hope that they would reinstate me into the program but as other disabled publishers, it's helpless. I forget it and began to look for a new financial source. And today, I received a check, from Google, of course. The check date was 25 August. I received it late because of the postal problems. Now I don't know what I can do with the check. It's a remarkable sum but the check might be canceled and I'm afraid that I'll have troubles with bank account and maybe disappointed (Vietnamese bank system is backward with complicated procedure and it takes at least a month to know whether the check is available or not). Anybody here has experience in the situation like me?

I've never heard of them canceling a check after sending it but one never knows. Check with Google on this but if were me I would bank it and hope.

Could this mean that the real reason for the cancellation of your account was not invalid cliks?

Mey be they just they didn't like something from your site (about the improvements) and they just cancelled it and then decided to pay the remaining balance justo to be 'safe'.

I think you should cash the check and then go back to them asking to reinstate your account or giving the real reason for the cancellation.

heard of such a case that the cheque still pays into your account as its money they owe you before the disablement of your account, at least i have heard that someone paid in a cheque after having their account disabled and the funds appeared in their account as normal.

yeah, I heard many stories of publishers whose accounts got disabled and who were (accidentally) sent checque 4 or 10 months later.

That's why it's better to switch on checque - you will get your payment whether they disable you or not.

This morning, I went to bank. All prochedure finally was finished. They told me that I could come home and wait. About a month later, they'll send me a postal mail to inform. And then, I have to go to bank one more time. 123$, such a difficult dish to swallow!

I have no idea about their cancellation. My site is a portal with forum. After cashing the first check, I paid some members for their constructive posts. Therefore, they felt enthusiastic and posted more good articles. As a result, the site became more attractive. The Adsense earning increased from about 1.5$ a day to 4$. And then, I got banned! I sent them email asking for reason, explaining everything I could... They replied with a polite and secretive mail, just repeated the first "Adsense acoount disabled" mail and that's all. I did 3 times and gave up. Now I have to wait for bank cashing the check from them. Waiting process is a month. You know, at the time I've just been banned, I did think that Google Adsense and all their policy brought me depress. And now, when I'm supposing the bad things has gone, I receive from them, a check!

Gee thats a lot of money in Nam.

Is anyone else worried about the increase in competition from these backward, sorry developing countries where the natives are used to working for a bowl of rice a day!

If I was there I'd be banging out the sites!

I don't think it's a nice joke, web_seeker!

My homeland (with the FULL name is Vietnam, not the nickname Nam which became too old with the war in past) is a developing and maybe backward country but not in IT sector, I believe. In cities of VN, people earn many more than a bowl of rice, maybe 20 or 50. And the sum from Adsense is only enough for annual hosting fee and some very small royalties for positive writer. My monthly income is double of the sum 123$. I myself think that Google Adsense is only a suppoter for sites, not for live!

Thieu_iot, sorry for the banning, and twice sorry for the comments you got.

And, returning to business, yes, get the check and cash it was the way to go..

web_seeker,
That is your experience and you think that everywhere around you is the same. Get out and travel around.

By the way, there are some violations on AdSense's TOC on your site listed in your profile.

Get out and travel around.

I have done actually. I was just having a little joke and trying to make a point about how cheap these countries are to live in and how adsense dollars will go a long way.
