Well, I'll start it!

Firstly you are not supposed to divulge stats like this however...are you clicking on your own ads?

1,430 clicks: 10,757 CTR:752.2%

Let's wait for the "I've been banned post" shall we?

CTR is 752.2%

HMMMM ... some fingers may be soooo busy. and this is for only 4 days? Fishy fishy fishy

For those extremely scared (*or paranoid) for being banned at Google because of the perception that G kicks out "even innocent" publishers, 10,000+ clicks in merely 4 days with 752.2% are proof that some folks warrant an extremely close look (if not the outright boot)

Either there is something wrong with your stats or you are about to get into BIG TIME trouble. That ratio is unbelievable and you should contact Google as soon as possible to find out what's going on.

If you have been clicking your ads, it may already be too late!

I'd be really worried by these stats. On every page view the visitor clicks on 7 adverts (pressing the back button afterwards).

Possibly you have a miracle site, but Google won't bother investigating and will almost certainly ban your site because those stats are so unlikely.

Those are, indeed, very strange statistics. What kind of site do you run?

*Belch* . . . . . hic-up. . .

If I were you, I'd pull the ads from your pages for the time being.

Your earnings sound spot on for that kind of irrational activity. Good to see that the vast majority of the clicks aren't counting.

Very strange stats. Maybe one of your competitors is trying to get you booted?

The average per click comes down to less than half-a-penny so apparently Google is already up to the shenanigans taking place on that site.

I doubt it's a competitor, as that person would be sacrificing their own AdSense account with all of that excessive clicking (and if it is a competitor in the same space, it would simply dry up the inventory for the perp).

Heard that one too many times.

I wonder if people mistook the tone of the original post as bragging when perhaps it was meant in the spirit of asking for opinions because it's so obvious the stats are messed up. If I had just put AdSense on my site and I was seeing stats like this I would be concerned.

My question is this: Have you added AdSense to a forum and could it be that your members are trying to "help" you out? Can you see repeat IP adresses or any smoking guns in your server logs?

Atomic - you seem to subscribe to my wife's motto "I believe in the innate goodness of men." :o)

I don't think G would mess up the stats; someone else caused the mess up. From looking at it, it seems to be "invalid clicks" whatever the source maybe, even if the person is innocent. Given the newness of the site (4 days!), G may consider it to be too high risk and a magnet for invalid clicks for it to last for long in the program.

A question he posted yesterday:
if they click 250 times will the Earnings go down or up

Perhaps he did not receive an adequate answer so decided to run a "test".

I just think it's fair to at least leave open the possibility it's not fraud on the webmaster's part. You may be right that Google closes down the account regardless of where the blame lies. I think I would if I were Google since the integrity of the program is at stake.

Heck, we didn't click the ads at all.

We put wifi in the chicken coop then installed a bunch of wireless mice with an automatic feeder to dispense a little chicken food on the mouse buttons every 5 minutes. All of the mice have been preprogrammed to click on an AdSense ad when the chicken pecks it.

The AdSense earnings are up substantially (600%) and the egg production has tripled!

He says: "Ive Just Started Ad-Sense and is this is a good start.." and "its been 4 days since i started!"

Now 1,430 impressions in 4 days is 357.5 impressions per day. So the maximum visitors per day is 357.5

If we assume each visitor makes 5 pageviews then the real visitor number would be 71.5

If there are 2 different ad units on the page as a hungry beginner, then the real visitor number of the website is only 35.7 per day.

10,757 / 142.8(visitors for 4 days) = 75.32 clicks per visitors.

In other words:

On a "normal" website with 5% avg. click-thru rate, a visitor makes 0.05 clicks,

On your website a visitor makes 75.32 clicks!

The difference is 1506 times!

Well, how lucky you are :)))))

It's just the idea that someone includes 'cop' in their WW sign-on. Surely 'crim' would be more appropriate. And the question on the other thread about 'if someone clicks 250 times' will earning go up or down?

LOL, cheered me up.

Google disclosed, in an email, the name of an individual clicking your ads?

They must have a huge espionage department that we didn't know about.

I didn't knew that people's names are recognized from their IP adresses :) I think this is what's called IPv6!

Maybe server log files get more detailed as the time passes.. Example:

81.212.99.99 internet explorer, male, 1.75cm, 80kg, no no wait, he's eating some stuff in front of the computer, add 250 grams more

81.213.99.00 mozilla firefox, well, i didn't like this guy, he isn't even worth logging

Great..
