Just wanted to share with all my friends here! This forum its being a greeat help for me
Yep - happy days
Seriously, though, I must be in the wrong fields. I can't recall ever getting a click worth more than about 50¢. My average is a tick under 10¢. I guess I should be glad I get a decent amount of traffic to make up for it, but it's hard not to dream of the same traffic and CTR with a 20¢/click average. I'd be on easy street! Sigh.
Google does not update channels simultaneously and sometimes has random "click dumps" which may appear like you earn more in one day, but infact its the same amount with just a click dump from an earlier time.
Perhaps you had 10 clicks once for 30 cents, but infact it was only counting 5 clicks and the other 5 clicks were under review and just now got 'dumped' to yesterday.
The CPM for this particlar channel was something in the tens of thousands. To be honest with you I don't know what to think about it, I suppose it could have been revenue carried over, but its odd that the clicks/impressions weren't also carried over. Plus it happened in a rather obscure channel.
By the way, this is probably a high CPC compared to many sites, but it certainly doesn't average more than 50 cents or so.
If it really was a $54 click then I hope it converted well.
Boggles the mind.
You cant. Normally when you are using channels extensively you stumble upon data like that. for example, a page gets 10 impressions and 1 click and you earn $1. You can say you earned $1 on that click. Since Google keeps this data confidential you may not be right still.
mrowton has explained it in his $54 click.
Also seems that some days certain advertisers pay WAY more for their ads, causing my earnings to double for certain sites. Same # of page views, double income? Usually happens earlier in the week?
I can't wait for predicted PPC costs to rise over the next few years... :)
The niche is financial, and the high paying clicks are for a particular course I did an in-depth review of.
For noobs in the AdSense game, there's a major tip above.
Stay away from crap content, scraping and site generators. Dig in, do research on something really specific in your niche, write *detailed* reviews that may span several pages and those pages will attract the good paying ads.
A lot of people concentrate on pumping out 10 garbage sites a day, hoping to at least cover the cost of domain names and hosting before the sites get banned from the SE's, while others, like me, concentrate on writing 2-3 detailed & original articles a day that each bring in $5-$50+ per month, every month, possibly for years to come.
Use a *rifle* approach rather than a shotgun approach when building and updating your sites. The money deposited in my bank every month proves this to be a viable approach.
*wink*
