obviously a website needs only one page to run adsense and many sites only have one page.

however if you are applying to the program you will need more than that, there is not an official number, but i should think a dozen pages or so would be sufficient.

Ann, the actual number is six, you forgot the contact, privacy policy and link exchange pages :)

I don't believe there's a fixed number of pages before a site can apply, but the site has to look complete. Content, working links, working menu structure etc. It's a manual reviewing process and the reviewer will also take into account the type of content. A site dedicated to a rare animal species like Menzbier's marmot could be regarded complete with just a few text pages, and a few pictures, a site about all mammals in the world would probably be called incomplete if there are just ten or twenty content pages.

I've had it on a website with 1 page.
It's website tool though so that 1 page has quite alot of functionality.
