Adult Pop-Ups?

instead of google ads

Checking my site today, I noticed that there were no Google ads showing up. So, I assumed they had disabled them for my IP - since my IP doesn't change. That would be a good thing, I guess.

The problem - is when I clear my cookies and try to view a page that should have google ads on it - I am getting a adult pop-up instead for "an adult site"

I know it isn't the code on my pages - because I haven't changed anything.

Is someone hacking the Google Ad system?

Thanks,
p

check your system for spyware, sounds like something is in your machine.

Our Adsense is not spawning pops, moreso adult oriented pops.

Are you sure you don't have ncase or any of these spyware on your PC that spawns pops? Your pc might have something because Adsense is definitely NOT causing that.

That's the thing, I just ran AdAware 10 minutes ago.

I know a few sites that display Google ads - and no ads are showing up for me at all. Checked my JS settings, and everything is normal.

The porn pop-up is only coming from my site and only from pages that would have Google ads.

Very strange indeed.

Thanks,
p

adaware did not catch one for me a while back, I had to download spybot {I think that is the name of it anyway not 100%} That one caught it.

I would try a couple and a good updated virus scanner.

You can pm the url to me also.

It won't really be necessary, I think loaduniverse and alika are probably right. I had some staff members of my site check it out and they are seeing the Google ads just fine.

Like I said, I've been to several sites that dispaly G.ads and I can't see a single one of them. Very odd.

I have run XP system restore and AdAware.

Does anyone have any idea why it would be launching that adult pop-up ONLY from pages on MY site that should have Google ads? I mean, has anyone heard of a virus that does something like that?

Thanks again for the thoughts and suggestions,
p

Possibly another ad on your site that is triggering it?

No other ads, except a PayPal button. Again, very strange.

I am checking my settings thoroughly, thanks :)

Also, I apologize to the mod/forum in general for the use of the "p" word :P and for the specifics (only mentioned it because I thought it was an isolated incident that others might have experienced as well - won't happen again).

Thanks,
p

Since you have used Adaware, try using SpyBot Search & Destroy. What what doesn't get, the other usually will. Be sure to download the updates for both programs after you download them, as it will have the most up-to-date information on new spyware & adware.
