I'm a relatively new publisher myself and hit over the $10 mark last week. It isn't constant yet but I've managed to grow the site (and the income) over the last couple of months.
There are obvious revenue trends that map fairly well to visitor activity, but I've noticed occasionally there are income spikes where for the same number of CT's you get paid alot more.
Anyone else get this? Or does it smooth out when you're earning more anyway.
AS income is always roller-coaster. SM me if you want and I'll send you links to a couple of graphs of my AdSense income over time. It looks like a hedgehog plotted raw, and even when smoothed with (say) a 30-day mooving average, it really does look like one of the Six-Flags rollercoaster tracks (without the loops)!

1. Add content regularly.
2. Make sure each content page is built around one or two keyword phrases that get a decent # of searches at the major engines.
3. Take Google's advice and place your AS code according to their heat map - [google.com...]
Watch out for that gov't of yours, though. And don't tell your family and friends about this! At least not HOW you make the money. If they start clicking on your site, AdSense will throw you out and you're done.
just how much does $10 USD buy in China?
McD ice cream - USD 0.20
Regular burger USD 0.30
You can get FULL on McD's for USD 1.75-2.00 day
Good restaurant meal for USD 2.00-5.00
Where are you? I get to Xiamen quite often...
but in your case you still have the government on your back.
Have you ever been to China?
My wife describes Xiamen as the San Diego of the Far East without any of the problems!
The only time I have ever seen any troops was security at the airport and police on point duty. The areas I go to are fantastic, the people are extremely polite, the hospitality is wonderful plus it is so clean. The people are a credit to their nation, they deserve all the successes they are achieving.
Sometimes I sense paranoia in these threads about "closed societies" and being technologically backward. I am fortunate enough to travel to many countries, one of my favourites is the Ukraine, but talk to some people and one would think it was something out of the dark ages...just where do some people get their ideas?
Get a passport and go see these incredible countries before all the tourists cotton on to them and make them unbearably predictable!
