why can't i add adsense to my blogger blog?

It says the tag <script text/javascript> isn't alowed? HELP!

you need to add in the template not the content body.

If you would like step-by-step instructions for adding the AdSense ad code to your Blogger site, see the following page:

As mentioned already, you'll need to add your AdSense code to the 'Template' view of your blog rather than the 'Post' section where you normally type entries.
