Has this happened to anyone else? My account isn't suspended, I've been with Adsense forever, and blammo, the bank calls and says that one of the checks I cashed (Google's) bounced!

Anyone else have this happen this month?

I doubt that google are short of a few quid in the bank, or that google's bankers would bounce a cheque without recourse to google first.

I suspect it may be a screw up somewhere. Have you reported it to google?

I did - no reply as of yet.

The bank said that 'the issuing bank posted a return on the check'. That's all I know, right now.

Has this happened to anyone else?

nope

i suspect its an issue with the bank that issued your check and your own bank, and some paperwork/accounting btwn banks. Are you in the US? I'd give it a few days for the banks to work things out.

How long did you wait before depositing the check? It could have "expired".

Was the name on the account identical to the name on the check? My bank has told me that minor differences (such as the presence or absence of ", Inc.") could theoretically cause the payment to be rejected by the issuing bank.

" presense or absense of ', Inc.') "

Hmm, that's a possibility. I've cashed their checks on that account before, though.

I'll keep you informed..

Nope, checked on the Account Name - exact, to the letter and punctuation, of what is in the bank.

Hmm..

Sounds like Google put a stop payment on it for some reason.

In my payment history, it is still marked as 'paid'. I'm still accruing Adsense, nothing seems out of the ordinary... hmm.

If you never talked to them about a replacement check etc.. They might have accidently canceled your check instead of someone elses.

Definately contact them and look for them to get you an expedited replacement.

have you verfied whether the check is damaged?
Because there is some watermark their in the google check. If it gets damaged the bank will not pay you.
