Please try and keep the thread limited to suggestions.
My suggestion would be to allow us to block competitor URLs by each website we have.
In our case we have a couple of general sites where our competitors would be right at home however I don''t want them on our B&M site. As it now stands I have to block them from all our sites.
Let us change the AdSense for Search layout. No, I don't mean pre-fill it with keywords – just allow us to customize it to fit into certain layouts easier. Oh, and you can up the payout percentage while you're at it ;)
1) EFT to India.
2) Introduction of a VISA type debit card to withdraw AdSense money from ATM anywhere in the world.
Technical -
3) AdSense money to spent on AdWords - directly through a combined account.
4) Ability to specify details like MAC address, IP, and other details of at least one computer, which would be the webmaster's computer, from where if we test click on our own adsense ads, no harm would happen to our account. (Like adsense preview tool)
Able to get direct deposit to a US bank... even if I don't live in the US.
ABSOLUTELY! I live in a country with exchange controls (yeah, we're back in the '60's).
I have to re-ship my cheque back to Miami.
Would be a lot safer and more efficient to just send it there in the first place once they have established my address. PayPal has no problem with it.
By the way - thanks for all the contributions to this thread. It sure has legs. I just hope the right people are reading it.
Also customizable Adsense for Search boxes with smaller Google logo. (It's the only reason I won't use it on my sites).
Thanks again for starting this thread. I've found many of the posts to be quite valuable.
With regard to your question about opening ads in a new window, I'll be happy to tell you more about our policies on this matter. Google believes in providing a positive experience for the user. We've conducted research and determined that allowing ads to open in a new window negatively impacts the user experience, which is the reason we do not currently offer this feature.
I hope this provides some clarification,
ASA
All outside links on our sites open in new windows and all I get is thanks for providing the info.
I wouldn't want to disagree with you research but I wonder how long ago it was done. There was a time that not everyone could support new windows opening however I would assume that the percentages in the last two years have grown to the point that most everyone can now support it. Especially now that many browsers (incl. IE 7 due out soon) will have tabbing that encourages the use of new windows.
It would certainly benefit both G and ourselves. If our website did not disappear the searcher would be able to pursue additional information and, possibly, be exposed to more AdSense ads. If the ads are on theme, as they usually are, it would be a benefit to the user as well - everyone wins!
I agree with:
- Theme excluding/including on channels groups basis
- Ability to reload real pages and see really displayed ads, ad-links and image-ads without affecting stats
- Top 15 pages for impressions and clicks
- Local time in reports
* Tracking of where clicks were made, there are tracking softwares to do that, but it would be easier if google themselves gave the information.
* Setting minimum bid to say 5-10 cents. I would prefer showing no ad at all then a low paying ad.
* As someone suggested having a reviewed collection of websites with an option for advertizers to advertize on them. That should help discourage all the scapers and made for adsense sites popping up these days.
Adlinks hints
I can see why it may not be possible to give hints for regular Adsense ads but it should be possible to do it for Adlinks, something like "Link title", "keyword1, keyword2". For instance if you have a page about travel in a certain city, the hint could be "Lodging in Cityname", "Cityname, hotels, inns, B and Bs".
Minimum rate for CPM ads
Say that I would like to display graphic banners at the top of my pages but I am receiving $10 CPM for the text ads further down the page. Since few advertisers are paying such a high rate I don't receive many CPM ads.
If I set the minimum acceptable rate at $2.50 CPM I could make more than what I currently get from other banner serving companies, although that depends on what sort of stock of banner ads Google has available.
That brings up a another issue: ability to view and opt out of available banner campaigns, as is possible on other banner serving networks.
CONTROL over ad style (for example, font face & size)
AD LABELLING
Permission to write something such as, "Widget Suppliers", or "Widget Stores" or "Looking for Widget Products? Try below" above ads. After all, if one of my visitors wants to buy a widget, isn't it better for the advertisors if the ads are brought to his attention?
I guess I see it a little backward that it's OK to try to 'trick' people into clicking or reading ads by blending them into your content, but then it's not OK just to come out and say "Hey, check out our Widget Advertisors if you wand Widgets".
I would think the latter is more likely to produce a conversion for the advertisor. After all, you're getting the attention of the people that actually want the widgets, not some clueless person who clicks on it because they think it's a link.
I know when I advertise my widget supply site on my widget info site, I work hard to bring attention to the ads, and not blend them in.

If you’d like to learn more about site-targeting from an advertiser’s perspective, you might want to see:
[adwords.google.com...]
You also asked about tracking features to see exactly where clicks were made. Currently, you can set up custom channels with your AdSense account to track this data:
[google.com...]
Leonard0 – you can block CPM ads from displaying on your site using Competitive Ad Filters. For instructions, see:
[google.com...]
For example I have nothing against anybody's sexuality but unless a site is dedicated to a specific group it might be inappropriate or at the very least reduce the chances of clicks on ads that are targetted to a specific group that your site is not targetting.
Hope that makes sense, I tried to be as diplomatic as possible.
Added in: I know I can use the competitive ad filter but do that another appears, and it goes on and on.
I also understand that AdSense is targetted but I can only presume these ads are site targetted.
i'd like to see not only "this month" and "last month" in the dropdown-menu, but each of the last 12 or so months.
more options in this dropdown menu please. saves time.
thanks.
