Here is an extract from a large internet site. It's under a "why is this here" link in the bottom right of the google ads.

" Google sponsored ... provide one-click access to relevant sites advertise with G. This generates revenue for us and helps us to continue offering our users a free, <snip> and robust experience, while providing 1 click access to relevant information."

Surely this is against the ToS, or do large sites have their own rules?

I will copy what the large website says... and see if it makes any difference.

It's so typical that the only reason Flibble wants to add this information page is to encourage people to click on ads. I've resisted it for a long time, but I'm starting to hate AdSense sites myself.

First of all there is no such thing as copyright theft!

Second of all one cannot claim copyright on simple two or three word phrases written in a common and well known alphabet. Although phrases like click here is not allowed, if it were one cannot copyright such a simple phrase.

LOL, when I said copy, I mean paraphrase but in the same style. Eg, copy the INTENT of the message.

Man you guys need to take a chill pill :P

It seems ENTIRELY reasonable to make a change which could increase my earnings - which (FYI) is simply to pay for my server, I make precisely $0 out of google ;)

But if you are hoping for a

"Hi (your name here); Thanks for reporting those cheaters at.........., we canceled their account"

I don't think it's going to happen.

10000% right.

tried and tested

Um, lol, no.

I wanted them to simply reply, the fact they replied saying WHY it was OK was a perfect answer :)

Man, you guys are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO paranoid about motives.

well, you can easily go to excite.com, view sources, and you can clearly see that they're using different way to display Google Ads. I would say, Excite is a Google's Partner, not just a publisher. Exite.com deserves that special treat :)
